Econtalk and the Easterlin Paradox

Russ Roberts of the podcast Econtalk recently spoke to husband and wife team Justin Wolfers and Betsey Stevenson during which they discussed their new paper Subjective Well‐Being and Income: Is There Any Evidence of Satiation?

This paper challenges the famous Easterlin Paradox (1974), which posited that a rise in national GDP eventually reached a point when there were diminishing returns to life satisfaction.
